Dr. Mridu Chand joined Dr. Michael Messino in practice in 2007 at Cancer Care of WNC. Her balanced approach complements the expert care and compassion she provides her patients. She has a calm and gentle manner and spends the time necessary to meet patient needs.
Dr. Chand is a native of Nepal. After graduating from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine in Kathmandu, she and her husband moved to the United States for post-graduate training. After completing her residency, Dr. Chand joined an Internal Medicine practice in upstate New York. Drawn by the need to care for patients diagnosed with cancer, she soon realized she wanted to specialize in Oncology.
