Benjamin Barbour, FNP-C

Originally from Oak Ridge, a small town outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, Benjamin moved to Asheville for a job opportunity more than a decade ago and decided the mountains and climate made it the perfect place for a long-term home. Initially intending to be an artist, he fell in love with anatomy and physiology during his first year of college and immersed himself in the health sciences. He became particularly interested in oncology after assisting in his brother’s cancer recovery and decided to pursue a career in healthcare.

Benjamin is a Board-certified family nurse practioner with 15 years of healthcare experience. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2009 and continued on to receive his master’s degree in family nurse practitioning from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2012.

Benjamin graduated summa cum laude from both his undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. He has a proven track record of providing excellent care to patients and their families and strives to improve their quality of life during their cancer journey. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his three boys and hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, reading, and painting.
