Ginger Davis, FNP-C

Ginger is a certified family nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, and then went on to receive a master’s degree in nursing, with a concentration in family nurse practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky. She is a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Her love of oncology began while she was working in the PRN pool at Mission Hospital, finding oncology to be her most fulfilling specialty. She was hired to work at Cancer Care of WNC and delivered care and chemotherapy to patients under the care of Dr. Michael Messino and Dr. Charles Bryan, which she continued for 11 years. She then went on to work for Care Partners Home Health in Hendersonville to be closer to her school-aged children. She returned to Messino Cancer Centers in 2020 to work alongside Dr. Messino.

During this time, she decided to enroll in nurse practitioner school while continuing to work with this team. She has been a nurse for more than 30 years and has specialized in oncology for over 17 years. She has experience caring for patients with various types of cancer including breast and prostate cancers but has a special interest in neuro-oncology. Her decision to work in oncology stemmed from the joy she finds when working with cancer patients who provide inspiring insights and perspectives.

Ginger approaches patient care with compassion and understanding. She embraces the role, enjoying interacting and teaching patients and their families about their diagnosis and treatment plans so that they have a better quality of life. She is a patient advocate and continuously looks for opportunities to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Ginger is a native of North Carolina, being born in Hendersonville and then growing up in Brevard. She enjoys spending time with her family including her new grandson. She is famous for decorating the office in dahlias in the summer months, which she grows on her own dahlia farm. She also loves cultivating roses. Her passions include swimming, crafting, quilting and playing the piano.
