Gretchen Reibold, PA-C

Originally from New England, Gretchen moved to the South Carolina Midlands as a child and became intrigued with Western North Carolina while visiting her brother at a WCU camp over many summers. She joined her parents, sister, grandmother, and aunts when she chose to pursue a career in healthcare.

Gretchen is a certified physican assistant with more than 15 years of experience in internal medicine. She received bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and economics from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, before deciding to go back to school to become a nurse. In 2007, she received her associate degree in nursing from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina. After that, she worked as a registered nurse in oncology and inpatient hospice nursing care before returning to school and receiving her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2012.

Gretchen is a fluent Spanish speaker and is Red Cross certified in advanced cardiac life support. She has a proven track record of providing excellent care to patients and their families and prides herself on her ability to tailor a patient’s care according to their experiences and background. Outside of work she fosters animals, enjoys relaxing outdoors, listening to live music, watching movies, skiing, hiking, and hitting the road with her furry companions to visit her friends around the U.S.
