Charles Wendling, MD
Dr. Wendling joined Messino Cancer Centers in June 2024. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine – Shreveport and completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Creighton University Medical Center. Upon completion, he pursued a hematology-oncology fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport. Dr. Wendling then served as a bone and marrow transplantation clinical fellow at Stanford University Medical Center.
With over 25 years of experience as a physician and over 15 years of specialization in oncology and hematology, Dr. Wendling is a triple-Board certified physician in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He treats a wide range of cancer and blood disorders and has an additional focus on both malignant and benign hematologic conditions.
Dr. Wendling prioritizes a comprehensive and personalized approach to patient care by listening intently to patients to learn their histories and concerns. This approach ensures a treatment plan is provided tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
In his free time, Dr. Wendling enjoys reading, spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife and son.
