Mohan Thakuri, MD
Dr. Mohan Chand Thakuri joined Dr. Michael Messino in practice in 2007 at Cancer Care of WNC. Using a whole-person approach to cancer care, Dr. Thakuri is known for his supportive care and deep concern for his patients’ whole well-being.
A native of Nepal, Dr. Thakuri moved to New York following the completion of medical school in Kathmandu. He went on to complete the remainder of his training and fellowship in New York. After fellowship, he moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina. There he joined the faculty of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and remained on staff for six years. Enjoying the outdoors and mountains, Dr. Thakuri and his wife moved to Asheville, NC and joined Cancer Care of WNC.
