Medical Oncologist Eric Luk
American Oncology Network partner practice welcomes the new medical oncologist to the physician team
ASHEVILLE, N.C., March 1, 2023 – Messino Cancer Centers (Messino), one of the largest partner practices of the fast-growing community oncology organization American Oncology Network, LLC (AON), expanded its physician team to include Board-certified medical oncologist Eric Luk, MD. Dr. Luk joined today and is accepting new patients at the Asheville and Sylva locations.
“We are excited to grow our team and have Dr. Luk join us,” said Christopher Chay, MD, medical oncologist at Messino. “His approach to patient care aligns with how we run our practice, and his experienced background in oncology will be invaluable to our patients.”
Luk attended Tulane University School of Medicine, receiving his medical degree. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School and a hematology and oncology fellowship at Ochsner Health. He is a specialist in thoracic oncology and carries experience treating various aggressive cancers including tumors of the head, neck and brain.
“I focus on patient-centered care first and foremost, finding ways to improve my patients’ quality of life,” said Luk. “By educating my patients on their diagnosis and offering insights into recommended therapies, I can help them make more informed health decisions.
